Polk County Republicans are hosting their annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Thursday, April 4, beginning at 6 p.m. The dinner will be held at the McClelland Dining Facility on the campus of SBU. Local and state candidates who have filed for offices to be selected in the Primary Election on August 6, 2024, are expected to be there. This gives voters an opportunity to meet the candidates and become an informed voter. more

Under the advisement of the county’s structural engineer, the intersection of East 470th Road and South 145th Road will be closed, due to a collapsing culvert. It will remain closed until repairs can be made, which will include new culverts and also straightening of the intersection itself. more

The Women of Faith from the Aldrich United Methodist Church is having a baked potato dinner on March 17, serving will begin at 11:30 a.m. All are invited and welcome to come and enjoy this meal with us.
