Bolivar schools increase substitute teacher pay

The Bolivar R-1 School District has announced an increase in the daily pay rate for substitute teachers to $120, effective Nov. 1, from the previous rate of $100. This adjustment is part of a district-wide effort to address challenges in securing enough substitute teachers, a need that has grown recently. By raising the pay, the district hopes to better support current substitutes and attract new ones.
