A 9-year-old from Flemington died on Sunday, Nov. 13, from injuries resulting from a crash that occurred around 2:30 p.m. south of Humansville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the child was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. The fatality was pronounced at CMH at around 4:36 p.m. Next of kin has been notified.
The report stated the child, along with two other juveniles, were occupants of a vehicle driven by Faith L. Ryan, 29, of Flemington. Ryan had been westbound on East 330th Rd., about three miles south of Humansville, in a 2007 GMC Yukon when she ran off the road and overturned.
Ryan, who the report said was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to CMH by EMS.
The two surviving children, a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old, had minor injuries and were transported to CMH via private vehicle. They were both wearing seatbelts during the crash.
The vehicle was totaled and towed by B&B Wrecker of Bolivar, the report stated.
Trooper J. R. Rorie, assisted by Trooper J. K. Marlin, investigated the wreck.
The 9-year-old’s death was Troop D’s 119th traffic fatality of the year, per the report.
