Know anyone who loves vehicles of all kinds? Dreams of driving a police car, fire truck or dump truck someday? Just likes to learn about cool stuff? If so, the City of Bolivar has the perfect event for you!
The City is hosting its second annual Touch a Truck! event from 3-6 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the Bolivar Recreation & Aquatic Center, 1710 W. Broadway St. It’s free and open to all ages!
During the event, different kinds of vehicles will line up along the old airport runway for kids and adults to look at and touch.
The first hour, from 3-4 p.m., will be sensory sensitive, so there will be no lights or sirens during that time.
The Bolivar Police Department, Bolivar City Fire Department, Bolivar Streets Department, Bolivar Municipal Airport, Polk County Sheriff's Office, Polk County Central Dispatch, Citizens Memorial Hospital, Missouri Department of Transportation, Bolivar Ready Mix, Southwest Electric Cooperative, Liberty Utilities, Warwick Electric, and more have signed up to join us.
Also, new this year, we’ll have food trucks on hand selling food, drinks and desserts.
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind event!
