Scheduled to be hosted by Drury University in their two gyms, a water pipe broke in Weiser Gym reportedly causing a lot of damage. The games scheduled there were moved to Kickapoo High School.

The 9:30 a.m. game got started on time thanks to last minute hard work of the Kickapoo staff.

Both teams were similar in size and athletic ability.

The first quarter saw both teams working their offenses well and very evenly matched.

Bolivar took a lead right before the end of the first quarter, but Marshfield hit a three pointer to take a 13-11 lead.

Marshfield surged ahead to a 28-22 lead at half.

The third quarter spelled doom for the Lady Liberators, as the Bluejays out scored them 13-1.

With the score almost doubled on them, the Lady Liberators dug in and with 4:40 to go in the fourth quarter. Using their pressure defense to create steals and disrupt the Bluejays patient offense, they whittled the score down to nine points.

A minute later they cut it to a seven point deficit, Marshfield began to run the clock and re-extend the lead and won the game 52-33.

Marshfield was very accurate on the three-point, shooting six for the game.

The Lady Liberators managed two three-pointers, and worse, the free throw gods frowned upon them, as they shot 8 for 20 from the line.

The Liberator leading scorers were Cora Roweton with 13 points and Carly Cribbs with 11 points.
