Polk County Sheriff, HSMO, and ACT join forces to rescue neglected dogs

On Friday, Nov. 8, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO), and the Animal Cruelty Task Force (ACT), executed a search warrant at a house on Highway 13 in Brighton. Twenty-seven dogs, including very young puppies, were rescued from the property located near the Polk and Greene County line. Reports claim numerous dogs were deceased.
