It was a beautiful morning for a local group — Guardians Against Cancer — to gather at Bolivar’s Dunnegan Memorial Park on Friday, Sept. 24, to participate in a St. Jude Walk/Run, raising around $2,000 for the 2021 St. Jude Marathon in honor of Ellie Rocco, daughter of Mike and Shawna Davolt Rocco and granddaughter of Jim and Sue Davolt of Bolivar. Ellie was diagnosed with cancer in July 2017, and her chemo treatment lasted nearly three years.
