When Coy Cooper Jr. a disabled U.S. Navy veteran passed away his son, Jeff Cooper, daughters Kathy Afton and Lesa Crain, along with daughter-in-law Della Cooper, found themselves and their families about to become the owners of a low mileage Chrysler specialty van with a handicapped lift. After discussions with the extended family the decision was made to “pass the van forward” to another disabled veteran. more

Public works crews have been working on a project to update the exterior of City Hall for the past few weeks. In order to prevent water damage to the building’s foundation and basement, they have excavated the dirt around the building and put in new drains and concrete.
