Bill Roberts Chevrolet Buick will soon lose the latter part of their name. Buick, who has a line of four crossover-style vehicles, has chosen to make their entire line electric by the year 2030. The decision comes with a high price tag for dealers, meaning some will have to opt out of carrying the luxury GM line. One such dealer is Bolivar’s 3rd Generation GM Dealer, Bill Roberts.

Joseph Kyle Davolt, 28, of Polk County, is facing six counts related to a Domestic Disturbance in Morrisville. According to the Probable Cause Statement, on Friday, Feb. 23, a fellow citizen heard Davolt and his wife arguing. The Polk County Sheriff's Office was called around 7:16 p.m., once the neighbor heard the woman state, “Ow, that hurt!”

Those casting a ballot by mail must make sure their written and signed request states the reason for voting absentee and an address to which the ballot should be mailed. Those requesting ballots by mail must make sure their written request for a ballot arrives at the County Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person at the County Clerk’s office is 5 p.m. the day before the election, Monday, April 1, 2024. The County Clerk’s office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 8 a.m. to noon.
