After two successful road trips, Bearcat football is excited to return in front of the roaring home crowd at Plaster Stadium. The first home game of the year had the stands packed, with the expectation being the same for this Saturday’s game against Missouri S&T at 6:00pm. more
SBU football returned to action for the second week of the season as they took on the Roosevelt Lakers Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats held the lead throughout the majority of the game and came away with a 40-34 victory. This win gave head coach Paul Hansen his first win as a Bearcat and moves the team to 1-1 on the season. more
Bearcat Football crosses into strange territory as there is a new leader at the helm for the first time in over 10 years. The winningest coach in program history, Robert Clardy, stepped down from the head coaching role, opening the position up to a new up and comer across the Midwest. After consecutive highly successful seasons, Head Coach Paul Hansen steps up from NAIA to Division II, to lead the Bearcats. more

The greens at Silo Ridge Country Club were packed with purpose on July 14 as 40 teams gathered for the annual Doug Potts BEAF Golf Classic for Kids — an event that blends friendly competition with community impact. Hosted by the Bolivar Educational Advancement Foundation (BEAF) in partnership with the Potts family, the tournament continues to grow in size and significance, raising funds for classroom grants, scholarships, and the Doug Potts Liberator Pride Scholarship, which supports students in the Bolivar R-1 School District. more

The SBU football team continued GLVC action last Saturday afternoon as they hosted the Lincoln Blue Tigers on homecoming. Behind a packed crowd full of former and present Bearcats, SBU edged out the Blue Tigers to 17-13. They pick up their first conference win of the season moving to 2-2 (1-1 GLVC). more
Bearcat football will return to Plaster Stadium in 2024 with a bang. While they begin their season this Saturday, Sept. 7, they begin their home schedule the following week for firework night. more

For 7th graders and those new to the program, during this week we will start learning our offense and defense, and we will also be learning plays and the different position skills on both offense and defense. By making it to camp, you will be ahead of the game when practices start on August 16th. more

Bearcat football kicker Logan Turner added to his accolades as he is one of 46 student-athletes across the Nation to earn a Division II 50th Anniversary Scholarship. The NCAA Division II announced on Monday evening at the Division II Festival that Turner is the sole male recipient from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. more
Our sixth-grade boys (Class of 2030) just completed their youth football career on Saturday night Oct. 21, by defeating Marshfield 36-0. They made history as they were the first youth Liberator football team to go undefeated all four-years of their youth football career. The kids had a full night of celebrating after the game was completed. They had an on field celebration with family, friends, and fans after the game was completed. The boys received undefeated t-shirts, an undefeated sign, and then had a big swim/pizza party hosted by the Bolivar Recreational Center to cap off of them making history. more
