Posted

Graduating students of Bolivar High School will be honored at the school’s Decision Day event at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 5 in the high school auditorium. The ceremony will celebrate the BHS graduates’ plans after high school – whether they enroll in college, prepare for their career, or enlist in the military.

In addition to students and educators, special guests will be in attendance, including Missouri Governor Mike Parson and Missouri Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven. Speakers will praise the graduating class for their achievements and direct them toward a prosperous future. Families and school community members are also welcome to attend.

According to a recent press release, Bolivar High School is one of 135 rural high schools currently participating in rootEd Missouri, a partnership among the national organization rootEd Alliance. In an effort to provide more postsecondary opportunities for students at rural schools, RootEd Missouri, Ozarks Technical Community College, and the Missouri Department of Secondary Education are working to provide college and career advisors in rural schools and helping students decide on their future goals.

Bolivar High School is located at 140 N Highway D.
