A couple of area cemeteries are hosting annual meetings and welcoming donations from local residents.
Goodson Cemetery
The Goodson Cemetery Association will hold its annual members meeting Saturday, June 10 immediately following the church’s business meeting, which will start at 7:30 p.m. at Goodson Missionary Baptist Church. The Board of Directors will meet after the members meeting. Goodson Cemetery Decoration day will be Sunday, June 11 to correspond with the church’s homecoming services.
Oak Grove Cemetery
Decoration day for Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church is set for Sunday, June 11. Services will start at 11 a.m. with a short business meeting, followed by special singing. Preaching by Bro. Ben Hodges will follow. After the service, the church will have their traditional basket dinner. Everyone is welcome to attend. Flemington Cemetery
The Flemington Cemetery will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 12 at the cemetery.
