Several area cemeteries will be offering decoration services, hosting annual meetings, and/or accepting donations.
Antioch Cemetery
Antioch Cemetery of Pittsburg is seeking donations to help with the maintenance and upkeep of cemetery grounds. The cemetery relies on community support, and all donations are greatly appreciated. Donations may be sent to Antioch Cemetery Association, 27749 State Highway 64, Polk, MO 65727.
Mt. View Cemetery
Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church will have their annual memorial services on Sunday, June 4. Morning services will begin at 11 a.m., and dinner will be served at the noon hour. The cemetery board meeting will begin at 2 p.m. After the board meeting, Bro. B. J. Payne will bring the afternoon message. Church services will be dismissed for Sunday night services. Everyone is welcome to attend.
New Bethel Cemetery
Decoration services at New Bethel Cemetery in Halfway will be Sunday, June 4. A potluck dinner will be served at noon. Please bring your own plate, silverware, and drink as well as your potluck dishes. A short business meeting will follow after lunch. Donations for the upkeep of the cemetery will be accepted that day or may be mailed to New Bethel Cemetery, c/o Joyce Dennis, P.O. Box 53, Halfway, MO 65663. Your support and donations are greatly appreciated.
Shady Grove Cemetery
Shady Grove Cemetery’s decoration day will be on Sunday, June 4. A basket lunch will be at noon. Donations can be sent to Louise Williams at 4687 S 16th Rd., Fair Play, MO 65649. For any questions, call Louise at 417-777-0923.
Flemington Cemetery
The Flemington Cemetery will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 12 at the cemetery.
