Evening with the Experts: Advances in Alzheimer's Research and Treatments

Posted

The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting southwest Missouri residents to their “Evening with the Experts” event to learn more about dementia research updates. This includes new treatment advancements, developments in detection and diagnosis, trends in patient care, and local care and support services.

“Each day, we have new developments in research that will soon change how we diagnose and treat Alzheimer’s,” said Sarah Lovegreen, vice president of programs for the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Missouri Chapter. “By bringing this education to Springfield, we can better educate and connect people to resources and new advances as they become available.”

The event will feature Rebecca Edelmayer, Ph.D., senior director of scientific engagement for the Alzheimer’s Association and a panel discussion. The panel will include Dr. Edelmayer, Curtis P. Schreiber, M.D., with Citizens Memorial Hospital Neurology & Headache Center and Missouri Memory Center in Bolivar, and Dr. Sara Hill, DNP, with Cox Health, Ferrell Duncan Neurology Clinic.

The event will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the efactory, 405 N. Jefferson, Springfield. This event is free, but RSVP is required for dinner planning purposes. Please register at tinyurl.com/EveningWithExperts.
