The Historical Society of Polk County will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 27 in the Polk County History Museum, located at 201 W Locust St. in the old North Ward school building.
The program will be presented by Rod Gates, a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. Mr. Gates builds flintlock rifles and will have examples of and speak about Revolutionary War weapons. The public is always welcome to attend the meeting.
The society hopes to see you there to enjoy this interesting program and the updated exhibits in the museum.
