Time is running out for employers to get on board with an upcoming hiring opportunity.
Employees and employers can connect from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the fifth annual Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce JobFair. The event, to be held at the Bolivar Recreation and Aquatics Center, 1710 W. Broadway St., is sponsored by the chamber, Bolivar Recreation Center, Citizens Memorial Healthcare and the Bolivar Herald-Free Press.
Last year’s job fair brought nearly 30 businesses to one location where they were hiring, offering on the spot interviews, and distributing information, according to a chamber news release.
“The fair is the perfect opportunity to connect with potential employees, conduct interviews and promote your business,” Jacob Wilson, chamber vice president and job fair chairperson, said in the release. “Space is limited, so we encourage reserving your booth now.”
Deadline to reserve a space is Feb. 24.
Registration is required to reserve one of the limited number of booths available for employers. There is a $250 booth fee, however, the fee is waived for members of the Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The chamber is contacted frequently about job opportunities in the Bolivar area — by both job seekers and employers,” Wilson added. “The Job Fair is a great opportunity for employers to connect with potential employees. We also encourage those who are unable to attend the job fair to make use of the free job posting page available through our website at bolivarchamber.com. Those looking for employment can search the job postings free of charge.”
The event is free for job seekers.
