The Bolivar Herald-Free Press welcomes their readers to help support local students by purchasing some discounted tickets to the Mid-Season Championships at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland on Saturday, June 10.
This newspaper issue contains a coupon for $5 off a general admission ticket to the race. Readers can redeem the coupon on the day of the event by clipping it out and bringing it to the BH-FP’s booth, which will be located at the front entrance of the speedway.
Proceeds from ticket sales during this event will benefit the BH-FP’s Newspapers in Education program, which allows the BH-FP to supply newspapers to public schools in Polk County.
By bringing newspapers to schools, the Newspapers in Education program provides a resource for teachers and students by equipping them with relevant information in the classroom.
According to previous coverage, the Newspapers in Education program operates for 30 weeks each school year, supplying schools with over 24,000 newspapers for area students.
As publisher of the Bolivar Herald-Free Press, Deanna Moore is proud to partner with Lucas Oil Speedway for this opportunity and welcomes local residents to make their way to the races this weekend.
“We are excited to be partnering with Lucas Oil Speedway again this year to provide the fans with a $5 discount into the races that benefits our Newspapers In Education program,” Moore stated. “The generous donation from Lucas Oil Speedway allows us to provide our local Polk County schools and their students with newspapers to use in their classrooms. Come out for some great racing, and stop by our table by the ticket booth for your discount.”
The pit gates at Lucas Oil Speedway will open at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Grandstands will follow at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:05 p.m. Lucas Oil Speedway is located at 18842 Speedway Drive in Wheatland. For more information, visit lucasoilspeedway.com.
