Trick or treat yourself!

Posted

Halloween is on the horizon, so Bolivar and the surrounding towns are gearing up to welcome trick-or-treaters to their community-wide events.

In a statement from the City of Bolivar, the Bolivar square will be shut down to vehicle traffic in order to accommodate trick-or-treaters on Monday, Oct. 31.

“Crews will close streets at around 5 p.m., and the streets will stay closed until foot traffic subsides. This will impact northbound and southbound Springfield Avenue and Main Avenue. However, Broadway Street, or Mo. 32, will remain open. Please stay safe and watchful on any streets while trick-or-treating this Halloween!” the statement said.

Bolivar Kiwanis Club’s annual Costume Contest will once again take place in the gazebo at the square starting at 5:45 p.m. on Halloween, welcoming kids to dress up for a chance to win a prize.
