Tony Porter, a long-time resident of Bolivar, has recently been named President of the Southern Seed Association, a 103-year-old regional trade organization representing the planting seed industry across 16 southern states from Arizona to Virginia. more

Jackie Selle is originally from Bolivar, but now lives in St. Louis County. She was visiting family when she decided to stop by the Polk County Humane Society or PCHS. A domestic, short-haired cat named Molasses caught her eye, and she decided to adopt him. Once home, she renamed him Merlin. more
