Bolivar First Assembly will be hosting Cars, Crafts and Bluegrass on Saturday, April 27. The event is a fundraiser for students going on a mission trip to Peru in June.

Saturday, April 20, was a busy day at the Peddler’s Post, but it would soon turn out to be a memorable one for shop owner, Rob Ross, along with consumers Robin and Mark Abell. The Abells came in and made their way upstairs to the flea market section of the store. This wasn’t their first time shopping here, Ross recognized them when they walked in, “[They are] a delightful couple that has come in a couple of times,” he states. Though they have become somewhat regular customers, this trip would provide more than a new trinket to display.

Bolivar’s Tracker plant is the largest pontoon producer in the United States, according to Bass Pro. Yet, even this distinction is not enough to keep the company from releasing approximately 5% of its regional workforce. Out of the 400-plus employees at the plant, 21 are now unemployed.
