Bolivar tennis had a very long and hard season this year. The Liberators were able to squeeze out wins from matches that had seemed lost. Monday’s match against Republic was one that the team was unable to get over the hump losing 4-5. Getting wins for the Liberators was Kami Bryan and Emma Goodman as the #2 doubles team, and Bryan also won her singles match 8-2. Also getting wins in singles was Jillian Horner at the #4 spot with a hard fought tiebreaker winning 9-7, and Goodman wins at the #5 spot 8-5. Republic has a very hard and talented team from top to bottom.

Center Stage Dance Academy dancers were invited to perform at the Nascar 75th Anniversary Cup Series at the Kansas City Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 10. Terri Kirksey, owner of Center Stage, received a call from Nascar in April asking if they would like to perform at Nascar, and she was very excited to have this amazing opportunity for her dancers. The girls worked many hours every week during the summer to perfect a 15-minute non-stop routine that was race car themed for the Nascar opening ceremonies.
