This event takes place on July 27-29, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Harrell is one of the few coaches across Division II, Division II, NAIA, and junior college to be selected for this opportunity. more

On Saturday, June 8, 106 4-H youth ages 8 to 18 put their shooting skills to the test. Polk County 4-H once again hosted their annual 4-H shooting sports competition for current enrolled 4-H members. The youth competed in archery, air pistol, smallbore (.22) pistol and smallbore (.22) rifle. The participants represented 13 counties in southwest Missouri. more
Liberator soccer will kick off its 30th varsity season next month. In the first 29 years, Coach Steve Fast has led all but the inaugural season. Fast took the reins as a new coach in 1996 with limited soccer experience and was later joined by assistant Jeff Edge. Together, the two have been on the Liberator sidelines for nearly three decades. And together, they closed out their final season on the pitch this spring. more
The Bolivar Saddle club had a beautiful evening, Saturday, July 6, for their annual 4th of July All Gaited Horse Show. Showmanship was at its best as Polk County horse enthusiasts as well as those from the surrounding area, came to show their pride and joy in the arena. more

The construction of the intersection at East 470th Road and South 145th Road is underway. The Bids for replacement were received on May 5, 2024, and were awarded to Hartman & Company, Springfield, Mo. The construction will consist of replacing two large culverts and straightening out the intersection. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the intersection will be under construction for at least 45 days. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are excited to be able to make this intersection much safer in the future for citizens traveling in that area.
