Members of the local Boy Scouts recently spent time honoring American’s fallen heroes by placing flags at area cemeteries ahead of Memorial Day. The Scouts carefully lined gravesites with American Flags, taking time to recognize those who served the nation with courage and sacrifice.
The annual tradition serves as a meaningful reminder of the importance of Memorial Day and helps teach younger generations about service, patriotism and respect for those who have served in the military and made the ultimate sacrifice
Scout leaders said the project is one of the troop’s most important service activities each year and reflects the organization’s commitment to citizenship and community involvement.
