A total of 20 youth from the Bolivar Home School group participated in a 3-class series titled “Life After High School.” The Objective of the class was to assist the youth in identifying and aspiring to reach their personal postsecondary goals, based on their strengths and values, and to expand their accessibility to the paths leading to such goals. The group of teens explored how life choices, education and jobs are all tied together. Discussions focused on life choices including careers, college, housing, transportation and food; selecting a career versus what salary do I need (trade schools are good too); and what happened to my paycheck (taxes, insurance and more).
