The Southwest Missouri Horse Show Association is hosting an All Breed Gaited Horse Show on Saturday, July 20, at the Bolivar Saddle Club. Start time is 7 p.m. The show will offer classes for Fox Trot and Walking horses. There will also be a Lead Line class for children not quite ready to ride on their own, as well as a Walk Only class for those 11-years-old and under just starting out. This is open to any breed. Concession will be by Bar G Ranch. There is no admission charge. more

The Woodlawn 4-H Club submitted their projects for judging and they were displayed in the 4-H building during the Polk County Fair with their ribbons. Projects will now move to the regional Ozark Empire Fair for judging. Members are also preparing to show livestock at the regional and state fair; and preparing to attend the state shooting match. The club thanks all those who attended the county fair and purchased food and snacks from the 4-H members who worked hard to serve the public. more

With the low overall score of 53, that's exactly what the foursome of Robert Clardy, Logan Claborn, Neil Routh and Mason Dunn - representing Southwest Baptist University Football - accomplished at the annual Doug Potts BEAF Classic for Kids on July 15 at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar. more

You will learn all the specifics of school bus driving, and you can even get behind the wheel and take a short drive on a bus! more
