The Downtown Bolivar Association is now accepting applications for vendors who would like to sign up for a booth space at Country Days. This annual event hosts a variety of organizations and vendors who offer food, entertainment, and other goods. This year, Country Days will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. more
Preparations are underway for the 44th annual community picnic and fireworks extravaganza on Thursday, July 4th on the SBU Campus. Area non-profit organizations are invited to participate as a vendor for the Old-Fashioned Community Picnic. As a non-profit, you will be able to keep all the money you make during the event. more

The Sew ‘n’ Sew Quilt Guild will meet Friday, May 17, at United Methodist Church, 105 E. Division Street. Please come to the east entrance into the Fellowship Hall. Social time begins at 9:30 a.m. with the program starting at 10 a.m. and the meeting to follow at 11 a.m. The program this month will be “The Perfect ¼ inch and The Perfect Prairie Points,” by Georgia Highley. The Lady Liberators closed out the regular season last week with three solid wins as they head into districts this week. Following a 3-0 win at Hillcrest Monday night, May 6, Bolivar hosted Camdenton Tuesday, May 7 for the final home match of the season. With a large home crowd in attendance to celebrate senior night and the retirement of longtime coaches Steve Fast and Jeff Edge, the Lady Liberators went on to beat Camdenton 3-1 for the seniors’ first win against the Lady Lakers in their four year career at BHS. more
