I surprised my wife a few years ago with two tickets to see the musical Lion King at Juanita K. Hammons Hall in Springfield. I thought she would want to take one of her lady friends with her to see it. She would not want me to go, would she? She did.

Open Hearts United Methodist Church will have their Fall Kickoff at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. There will be outdoor worship on the east lawn with a potluck and yard games. Performing will be Potter’s Wheel. Everyone is welcome.
