The construction of the intersection at East 470th Road and South 145th Road is underway. The Bids for replacement were received on May 5, 2024, and were awarded to Hartman & Company, Springfield, Mo. The construction will consist of replacing two large culverts and straightening out the intersection. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the intersection will be under construction for at least 45 days. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are excited to be able to make this intersection much safer in the future for citizens traveling in that area. The Lady Liberators closed out the regular season last week with three solid wins as they head into districts this week. Following a 3-0 win at Hillcrest Monday night, May 6, Bolivar hosted Camdenton Tuesday, May 7 for the final home match of the season. With a large home crowd in attendance to celebrate senior night and the retirement of longtime coaches Steve Fast and Jeff Edge, the Lady Liberators went on to beat Camdenton 3-1 for the seniors’ first win against the Lady Lakers in their four year career at BHS. more

Coaches often work to build a team that feels like family. For six soccer Lady Liberators, it is family. Three sets of sisters currently suit up for Bolivar and at times this season, they’ve comprised over half of the 11 positions on the field. With girls representing all four grade levels at BHS, junior Ellen Garber, freshman Sophia Garber, senior Ese Jones, junior Julia Jones, senior Ellie Thomas, and sophomore Josie Thomas are soaking up this one season all six get to share. more
Bolivar soccer returned to their home pitch Tuesday, April 23 to host conference opponent Glendale in a 2-4 match, dropping only their third loss on the season. more
When the soccer Lady Liberators last met the Lady Bulldogs in Rolla during the 2023 season, they were on the receiving end of a 1-9 loss. Playing host to this conference opponent last Tuesday, April 16, Bolivar was looking for some redemption. In their fifth game in as many days, the Lady Liberators battled fatigue in addition to their on-field challengers. Bolivar fought to stay competitive in the first half keeping Rolla out of the goal but was unable to control possession and convert shots themselves. more
The Lady Liberators entered the Willard Tournament last Friday, April 12 as the defending champions, anticipating a possible re-match of the 2023 championship with the home team. Bolivar easily dispatched Neosho and McDonald County in two 8-0 matches Friday, securing their spot in the title game Saturday with Willard. Bolivar defeated Willard a week prior in penalty kicks at home after a 1-1 tie forced two overtime periods. As expected, the re-match was an intense battle on the pitch before the Lady Liberators fell in a 0-1 loss on a penalty kick in the final seconds. more
The Lady Liberators were back on their home pitch last Thursday, April 4 to face Willard after dropping their first loss of the season at Springfield Central earlier in the week. For the second time in three days, Bolivar extended play Thursday night through two overtime periods with games decided in penalty kick shootouts. more
After two weeks on the road, Lady Liberator soccer hosted West Plains in their home opener on Thursday, March 28, extending their season record to 4-0 with this conference win. more
