Saturday, Sept. 10, was the perfect day for the annual Country Days event. There was something for everyone, numerous vendors, food to please everyone, entertainment on the streets and games for youngsters to enjoy! The square and adjoining streets were overflowing, the event just gets bigger and better every year. The Downtown Bolivar Association and all the volunteers worked long hours to bring the community another outstanding and fun day to the community. more

Students, both new and returning, eagerly awaited the commencement of the fall semester, which officially began on Aug. 28. Liberator soccer prevailed in their match at home against Rolla on Tuesday, Sept. 5. The team showed fantastic perseverance throughout a physical game. Headed by seniors and captains Jonathon Peters and Ben Tull the defense withstood Rolla’s aggressive offense. Standing out with many crucial saves to secure the overtime victory was sophomore goalkeeper Wyatt Viles. more

The Rolla Bulldogs started the Labor Day weekend with a football game in Bolivar's home field Plaster Stadium. Rolla came off a loss to Camdenton the week before 41-21. They brought a young team and a new coach trying to find some traction for their first win. more
Bolivar Mayor Christopher D. Warwick signed a proclamation on Friday, Sept. 1, declaring Sunday, Sept. 17, as Constitution Day and the week of September 17-23 as Constitution Week in Bolivar. He was joined by representatives with the local Matilda Polk Campbell Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution. more
With Covid raging in 2020, many high school athletic events were either canceled or restricted to no spectators. This created a new market for live streaming of these events. Bolivar has had the luxury of having live high school sporting events streamed since 2011 on Bolivar Liberator Web TV. Matt Henenberg owner of Bolivar Liberator Web TV says that the Bolivar community has been very supportive of his streaming of Bolivar and area high school sporting events and other special events in the area. “We started with City Link TV in 2011 and have continued to grow with them ever since.” more
The Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center at CMH proudly celebrated their 15th year of caring for area cancer patients. On Thursday, Aug. 24, the center welcomed former patients and their families, current patients and the community to share in their celebration. more
Bolivar High School Lady Liberators had their home opener on Monday night where they hosted an energetic crowd and a solid senior-led Marshfield Lady Jays. Coming off a very difficult tournament in Branson on Saturday where they went 1-4 including a 3-set thriller over Reeds Spring and almost taking a set from two-time state-appearing Strafford. more
