Estella Grace Carlin, the daughter of David and Bethany Carlin of Osceola, was the first baby born at CMH in 2025. Sarah Kallberg, D.O., with CMH OB/GYN Clinic delivered Estella at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1. She weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. more

The low water bridge located on E 435th Road between D Hwy and S 150 is being replaced. Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 18 be prepared to detour as the road will be closed while this is being built. The expected time for this project is at least 90-days. The county appreciates your patience while we make these much needed repairs. more
There will be a come and go reception to wish Mayor Christopher D. Warwick well as he leaves his post as Bolivar’s mayor and starts his new role as a state representative. It will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Bolivar City Hall, immediately before his final Board of Aldermen meeting. more
After being closed for the past month, S 132nd Road (Sandy Lane) is now open for traffic. There is ongoing work to get it finished, but traffic is allowed through now. The county wants to thank everyone for their patience with this project.  more

In February, Bolivar Schools announced that Dr. Michael Methvin was named the new superintendent after Dr. Richard Asbill announced he was retiring at the end of the year. more
