Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday for the non-French speakers, is known for its excess and gaudy beads, which can be earned by, um, well, letting it all hang out. Of course, New Orleans is the hubbub for the day of indulgence, but does anyone really know why it’s celebrated at all?

MERGE is back! MERGE is Polk County KLIFE and FBC's spring retreat for high school and middle school students on March 28-30th. It's a weekend to take a step away from their normal daily distractions and stress and have a fun-filled, intentional weekend pursuing Jesus. We want to create space for our students to ask questions, dive deeper, and know that they aren’t alone in their walk with the Lord. This year we are focusing on the parable of the Prodigal Son!

Hello, I'm Patches! My owner went to prison and left me behind. I'm an adult at 6 years old, but don't let that fool you, I've got a heart full of puppy love. I'm a sweet guy who loves making friends. Whether it's a game of fetch or a quiet evening on the couch, I'm always up for a good time. I'm smart, too, as you'd expect from a Border Collie, I've learned all sorts of tricks and commands. But what I'd love most is to learn the rhythm of a forever home. I dream of days filled with walks, treats, and endless belly rubs. Adopt me and let's create a lifetime of joyful memories together!
