You can also visit our website at www.oatstransit.org, where you can find your local schedule by clicking on your county under the “Bus Schedules” tab. OATS Transit is available to the rural general public of any age, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, we contract with various agencies to serve their clients. We are also hiring drivers statewide, so please share this opportunity with anyone you know who would make an excellent driver, allowing us to continue serving our passengers. Please note that OATS Transit offices will be closed, and regular routes will not operate on Monday, Feb. 17, for Presidents Day.

A Polk County Grand Jury has indicted Bolivar resident Robert Michael Liles, 41, on four charges of child sexual abuse. According to the Grand Jury report, between August 2021 and February 2022, Liles allegedly had sex, molested, and abused a child under the age of 14 years.

If you have driven on Mo.13 heading to Bolivar you have probably seen the makings of the Bolivar welcome sign. The weather has slowed things a bit, but the south sign at the first exit heading northbound, is anticipated to be finished by the end of February - weather permitting. The northern sign, by the Kum&Go, is expected to be completed the following month. It is estimated that 85% of the signs’ total cost will be from donations and a grant of $30 thousand from the Missouri Department of Tourism.
